I'm going to premise this post by saying, THIS IS MY BLOG. My opinions and thoughts. Take it or leave it, but I'm going to put it all out there.
I'm not a fan of Rosie O'Donnell. And no, it's not because she's a liberal democrat. It's because she's a loud mouth, dominating, hypocrite (I know this because she says she denounces racism, but slams other races by mimicking the way they talk and giving way to slang), and she's constantly controversial...never giving the opposing person one bit of respect and conversation without constant interuption.
I'm honestly glad Rosie's gone from The View. I've been watching the show lately and I was floored at the way she has acted. The thing with Elisabeth was just the icing on the cake. I like Elisabeth. I think she's intelligent, respectful (even when she disagrees), classy, and beautiful. Well, and yes, she shares alot of my same views. She's conservative. Now don't get me wrong, I think she gives Bush too much credit, but still our main conservative views are often in line.
Anyway, some, not most, are flaming Elisabeth and judging her because she FINALLY spoke up. Rosie, as usual, kept interupting her, but Elisabeth put it out there and stood her ground. She wasn't going to back down and keep quiet anymore. Normally she's overun and dominated by the other three loud mouths ( Rosie, Joy what'sherface, and Barbara Walters). And what I want to know is...if she and Rosie are such friends, why would Rosie, on air, need to ask Elisabeth if she honestly thought Rosie thought our troops were terrorists??? Elisabeth has defended Rosie on several other occasions and insists they were good friends even with conflicted political views. Rosie should've known...I think she wanted to start controversy as usual.
And here are my final thoughts. Now obviously I'm a huge troop supporter. Hello, my husband is active duty Air Force. I'm not a fan of this war anymore. At first, I felt that we definitely needed to be there, but we got Sadaam and helped get the Iraqis on their feet. But now I think we should start withdrawal immediately. Bush should not be so egotistical and pig headed about not listening to real sense ideas (dem and repub) about withdrawing from this civil war we are in the middle of and bringing our troops home safely. The Iraqis will always depend on us and never step up. Ok, getting off track here...sorry! BUT...if Rosie in fact feels this way (and I heard her exact words saying WE are the terrorists with so many Iraqi civilians killed yada yada yada), then I'm thankful that Elisabeth stands firm on her beliefs. Regardless of how we feel about this war, our troops still deserve our support.
And on another note, I can agree to disagree. I can listen respectfully to other opinions and not make childish slams. I know there is freedom of speech and I thank God that we have it, but hey, it goes both ways. Don't flame and judge someone who doesn't share the same opinion or view.
