First Day of School

Well ready or not, school started for the 09-10 school year today. I have to admit, it makes me kinda sad to see summer end and to send my sweet boys away all day! They love school though and I'm sure are having a great time.

In a bit, I'm going to make them a special treat, not sure what yet for when they get off the bus.

Before we left this morning.

Jonathan. I can't believe he's in the 3rd grade!!

"First Day of the First Grade"...for Seth!

Jonathan with his fabulous teacher, Miss Bailey. I love her...I subbed for her alot last year and I love her way of teaching and her philosophies. Miss Bailey has been teaching 3rd grade for 31 years! She was one of the charter teachers at Stockwell Place. She was also a Lady Techster (Louisiana Tech's much esteemed women's basketball team!)

Seth with his 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Everage. Jonathan had Mrs. Everage for 1st grade and we love her. She's an awesome teacher!
I feel that the Lord has blessed us so placing both of my boys with awesome teachers. I look forward to seeing what this future school year brings!

My (totally awesome) Birthday Cake!

For my birthday, my sweet neighbors, Aaron, Dee-Dee, and Phil made this awesome "Oklahoma Sooner" cake for me! It was so beautiful I didn't want to cut it...it tasted just as great as it looked! I'm SO blessed to be surrounded by such amazing neighbors!
