Life Group Baby Shower

I hosted a baby shower for my friends from Life Group...Teralyn who had baby Naomi just a couple weeks earlier and Suzanne who ended up having baby Julieanne the next week.

Most of all the women in our Life Group. Mitzi, Suzanne, Teralyn with baby Naomi, Christie, Michelle, Me, Jessica, and our leader, Linda.

Teralyn with her older daughter, Rebecca who is 3 and a HOOT!

Poor Suzanne was miserable! And she's a teacher and was doing state testing that week so I know how tired she was!

Seth kept hinting around that he wanted to hold baby Naomi. He told me, "She's cute and everything, but I like boy babies better!"

Upward Soccer

This year, the boys played soccer through Upward. I love Upward because it's Christ centered and teaches not just the fundamentals and skills, but also how to be a good sport and team player. Plus...it's only one practice a week with games on Saturdays. This year we decided to move Seth up to the "big" kid's league. They needed some 2nd graders to come up since they didn't have enough older players to make another full team. So we moved Seth and asked for him to be on Jonathan's team. BIG MISTAKE! Poor Seth...he had TWO coaches (Jonathan) instead of the one. Lesson learned. I don't know if we'll put them on the same team this year for football or not.
Jonathan and his buddy, Joe. It was SO hot and he had played his little heart out. We won that game with his scoring two of the goals.

Seth kicking it in!

Seth and his "girlfriend" Jaida. Jaida is our neighbor and these two certainly "like" each other...already!

Jonathan plays so hard...he's really aggresive.

We had a WONDERFUL coach this year. Coach Todd is amazing with those kids.

Jonathan going for the ball.

We are in Georgia Bulldog land! Bleck! Boomer Sooner! No, just kidding. Like I said, Coach Todd is one of a kind. Even if he was a Texas Longhorn fan, we'd still love him. :)

Snacks and stars!

Field Day

Well, I'm trying not to be negative, but Field Day at this school is nothing compared to our old school, Stockwell Place. It's still fun for the kids, but not as big of a deal. Seth had his field day on April 21st.

He was so tired, but this was his last event and then he got to go home with me right after.

Georgia Aquarium

Another outing we did on our Spring Break was visiting the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. This is the largest aquarium in the US or maybe even in the world??? Not sure. It was so fun! The boys love ocean animals so it's always an adventure to get to see these animals up close and personal. Sorry so late...I had to upload them and just hadn't had the time.

Finding my Aloha

I found a wonderful new blog today! Finding my Aloha is a blog authored by Emily, a fellow Air Force wife who lives in Alaska. She is full of amazing decorating ideas, recipes, fun printables, and lots of other things. She made the printables below for me for free, but she's in the process of opening her own, new shop to start selling her creations. I love subway art! It's all the rage right now. I have wanted to do one based on where we've been stationed with the Air Force. Three of these assignments are repeat assignments (Barksdale, Tinker, and Hanscom)...yes we are the boomerang Air Force family! Anyway, go over and check out Emily's fun blog and be on the lookout for the opening of her store.

World of Coca-Cola

This past week, we were on Spring Break. We decided to just hang around here and go to Atlanta for a couple of days. We toured the World of Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola was invented in Atlanta way back when.

These next few photos show our favorite part of the tour! The tasting room. There are 64 different coke products from all over the world. Nathan tasted all of them...the boys and I wouldn't.

Jonathan pointing to his favorite.

They had computers set up where you could tell about your favorite Coke story. Jonathan wrote about the time when he was a little guy. I had a big coke from Sonic sitting on the counter and climbed up and sucked it all down!! EEK! I think he was less than 2!

They show a really fun 4D movie...with movement and water and all kinds of crazy things.
