Jonathan 5th Grade County Wide Honor Choir Peformance

We are so proud of Jonathan! He earned a spot in the county wide 5th grade Honor Choir! This perfomance was so amazing. Such talent!
They had a guest conductor, Mr. McKee come from Atlanta to lead the chorus.
Jonathan was his wonderful music teacher, Mr. Helms. Mr. Helms goes above and beyond for these kids and I'm so proud my boys got to have him.

Ta-Da! My finished burlap wreath...Valentine style

I have been seeing these beautiful burlap wreaths all over pinterest so my friend Wren and I got together and made some ourselves. We got rolls of burlap that look like ribbon at Michael's and then "bubbled" the burlap all over the wreath form, tying with thin floral wire. It's the same concept as the mesh wreaths...like the one I made a couple of months ago. I had a heart shaped form so I decided to purchase regular fabric style red burlap and just wrap the form with that. I placed it in the middle of the larger wreath and walla...a Valentine wreath...then after Valentine's Day, I can take it out and go with a different theme/design! I also cut a strip of the red burlap for a tie. It's so fun getting together with friends and doing crafts. I love wreaths so of course this was right up my alley.

Seth's Birthday Party

Since Seth's birthday is December 29th...it's always so hard to have a party on that day or near it so we always put it off for a couple of weeks. We had his party last Saturday. His best friends came over for pizza and cookie cake and then we took them all to Johnny Gs...it's a fun center that has mini golf, lazer tag, rides, bouncies, games, etc. He has such great friends here...this is a wonderful group of boys that "jive" so well together! I'm thankful for that. This was the BEST cookie cake we've ever had. It's from a cookie place in our mall.

Seth got a 3DS for his birthday and so did his friend Alex so they played together.

What a fun day!

Happy Birthday Seth!

My sweet Seth is 9 today.

Oh how the years go by,

Oh how time can certainly fly.

From once just a thought in far away dreams,

Now a growing, changing, wonderful boy, but still that small child he seems.

The presence of you, my son...

Your laughter and smiles which go on for miles, warms my heart and soul forever.

I love you Seth more than you will ever know.

My 7 Gypsies Project

When I was at Archiver's last week in Atlanta, I saw this 7 Gypsies collage frame and knew I wanted to make one of my own. It was so much fun!

Merry Christmas!

This Christmas we stayed here in Georgia. It's so hard not going to the Ark-La-Tex for Christmas, but there was no way we could do it this year. It was also nice to stay home and just be together. I would say relax, but we had something everyday and night right up to Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, we went to our church's Christmas service. Afterwards, we went to Outback for dinner. That's a big change from the huge family get together that we normally do.
Each year, my kids get to choose an ornament for the tree. Jonathan chose the Adrian Peterson one from Hallmark. We love him! He's from Texas...not far from our hometown and he went to OU so of course we love him for that reason! But he is a great athlete and person. He's had a very sad season with lots of injuries...he's not playing for the greatest team either. Not that I don't love the Vikings, but they don't have very good players right now.
Our Christmas tree. It's so junky looking! I love it though...our main tree is a mixture of most of our ornaments. I did have "MY" tree as well this year...it's black and gold and brown with fleur de lis, crosses, and crowns, but in the middle of the night, the week after I put it up...I heard a loud crash...it had fallen to the ground. :( I lost 3 ornaments and got frustrated...I just took it right down.
Christmas morning...opening THE gift...their IPod Touches.
Bright eyed on Christmas morning...and me finding my "real" camera! I have the I Phone 3 and the picture quality is horrible.
They love Nerf guns.
Our Christmas dinner guests. Our friend, Stephanie and her 5 month old twins, Eli and Avery. Stephanie's husband, our friend Robert is deployed right now and all her family is in Oklahoma. It was nice to be able to get together.
My favorite thing I got for Christmas this year! My good friend, Michele had it waiting for me at my door on Christmas Eve...what a nice surprise! She is the most giving person I know. It totally made my day! I love that it says, "Happy Birthday Jesus".
These are a couple of new ornaments I got this year. I love Glory Haus ornaments and also the Burton and Burton line as well. Seth's ornament he made at school. So cute!
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas too!
