Happy Birthday Seth!

My sweet Seth is 9 today.

Oh how the years go by,

Oh how time can certainly fly.

From once just a thought in far away dreams,

Now a growing, changing, wonderful boy, but still that small child he seems.

The presence of you, my son...

Your laughter and smiles which go on for miles, warms my heart and soul forever.

I love you Seth more than you will ever know.

My 7 Gypsies Project

When I was at Archiver's last week in Atlanta, I saw this 7 Gypsies collage frame and knew I wanted to make one of my own. It was so much fun!

Merry Christmas!

This Christmas we stayed here in Georgia. It's so hard not going to the Ark-La-Tex for Christmas, but there was no way we could do it this year. It was also nice to stay home and just be together. I would say relax, but we had something everyday and night right up to Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, we went to our church's Christmas service. Afterwards, we went to Outback for dinner. That's a big change from the huge family get together that we normally do.
Each year, my kids get to choose an ornament for the tree. Jonathan chose the Adrian Peterson one from Hallmark. We love him! He's from Texas...not far from our hometown and he went to OU so of course we love him for that reason! But he is a great athlete and person. He's had a very sad season with lots of injuries...he's not playing for the greatest team either. Not that I don't love the Vikings, but they don't have very good players right now.
Our Christmas tree. It's so junky looking! I love it though...our main tree is a mixture of most of our ornaments. I did have "MY" tree as well this year...it's black and gold and brown with fleur de lis, crosses, and crowns, but in the middle of the night, the week after I put it up...I heard a loud crash...it had fallen to the ground. :( I lost 3 ornaments and got frustrated...I just took it right down.
Christmas morning...opening THE gift...their IPod Touches.
Bright eyed on Christmas morning...and me finding my "real" camera! I have the I Phone 3 and the picture quality is horrible.
They love Nerf guns.
Our Christmas dinner guests. Our friend, Stephanie and her 5 month old twins, Eli and Avery. Stephanie's husband, our friend Robert is deployed right now and all her family is in Oklahoma. It was nice to be able to get together.
My favorite thing I got for Christmas this year! My good friend, Michele had it waiting for me at my door on Christmas Eve...what a nice surprise! She is the most giving person I know. It totally made my day! I love that it says, "Happy Birthday Jesus".
These are a couple of new ornaments I got this year. I love Glory Haus ornaments and also the Burton and Burton line as well. Seth's ornament he made at school. So cute!
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas too!

Happy 11th Birthday Jonathan!

I can't believe my baby is 11! Where does the time go? Jonathan wanted to have friends over fora Nerf birthday party this year. I couldn't believe the amount of Nerf guns and Nerf darts we had around this place! Nathan built some neat forts, hideouts, whatever you call them...out of cardboard and placed them all over the yard. It was a blast! Jonathan's awesome cake made by my neighbor Erin!

Jonathan and his friend, Jeremiah. He is such a good kid...he and Jonathan have so much in common. They both love football, Tim Tebow, they are in the chorus and in FOCUS together and they both play the piano! Cool kids. :)

Jonathan and his friends Kyle and Adonis

We had a contest to see who could hit their dart closest to the target.

Friends Joe, Cole, and Kyle

I love you Jonathan Matthew more than you will ever know!

Southside Baptist Church Children's Volunteer Christmas Party

Since we lead in AWANA at our church, we were invited to a Christmas party that they did for us! They went all out and it was a blast! Nathan wasn't able to come because Jonathan was sick and he told me to go without him so I did! These are my friends so I sat with them. In the middle of our table, they had piled several Legos, Lincoln Logs, and other children's building items. We had to construct something "Christmasy" and whoever's was the best, everyone at that table won a $10 Target gift card! We won!

Our awesome design!

Lake Joy Elementary Chorus Production

Again, I have to rave about one of the boy's teachers. We are so blessed this year with awesome teachers! Their music teacher, Mr. Bobby Helms is amazing. There are over 200 kids in the elementary chorus (grades 3-5) and he does a great job getting them interested, making it fun, and doing some pretty amazing productions. This year, the boys had productions at the base tree lighting ceremony, Houston County High School, and then at their school. While other schools in the city are doing Jingle Bells and Santa Clause is Coming to Town, these kids are doing Haneirot and Christmas Canon in D...with parts! Christmas Canon in D is my favorite ever so when I heard the kids do it the first time, well and actually each time thereafter, I would have tears in my eyes! My boys have beautiful voices and I'm so glad God blessed them with musical talent!
The pictures of the mall performance are the best so I'm posting those.
I will update this when I get the videos uploaded of them singing.

My First Mesh Wreath!!!

I love the mesh wreaths that are so popular now. My friend Wren is so super crafty and had made one for herself so I asked if she would help me so she did. I decided to make mine a football theme so of course I chose Sooner colors and stuff. I already had the Sooner ornament so I just added it along with some cute zebra flowers and ribbon and beaded picks. When all the Homecoming stuff comes out next year, I'm going to add footballs. I think it turned out great!

My B

My friend Roxanne Harrison who lives in Mississippi makes these awesome wooden letters to hang on the door...or really wherever. She has tons of cute fonts and colors and I knew I just had to have one! I chose green...my favorite. It looks great hanging on my door! Check out her blog!

Rise Up!

The Sunday after Thanksgiving, we went to the Georgia Dome in Atlanta (I love living so close to a big city!) for a Falcons game. They played the Minnesota Vikings and won pretty handily...thanks to my favorite player, Adrian Peterson being injured. Oh well...we like the Falcons and are glad they won. Jonathan especially loves Matt Ryan so he was super happy.
